Learning new things is amazing and makes us better in unexpected and surprising ways. Nowadays, people tend to be specialized in niche subjects. It is a curse from how advanced we have become. The things that we project, build and manage, are so complex, that they require very close cooperation between highly specialized persons and teams. One of the dumbest questions that we can get asked today in job interviews is: “Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?”. Our evolution has been exponential, not incremental. New professions pop up every year. To keep up we must keep learning. And specially, learning outside of our comfort zone. Cross knowledge is what leads to interesting eureka events that disrupt the evolution curve. We are accelerating to a singularity but don’t want to get there in a monotonous monotonic way. calling… for disruptive knowledge.
